Chief Executive Officer
Rochelle James is a member of the Tulalip Tribes and currently serves as the Tribal Government CEO. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Comparative History. In 2008, she completed her Master’s degree in Public Administration and a certificate in nonprofit management from the University of Oregon.
Rochelle is passionate about volunteering and helping her community become healthy and empowered. In 2012, she became a Tulalip Foundation Board of Trustees member, playing a key role in developing the Hibulb Cultural Center. She has also served on the planning committee and as Chairwoman for the Tulalip Boys and Girls Club Auction.
Before becoming CEO, Rochelle was the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and the Executive Director of Education. Her extensive experience in leadership and education has been instrumental in driving the success and growth of the Tulalip Tribes.
In her free time, Rochelle enjoys spending time with her family, including her children and grandchild, exploring the outdoors, and traveling.
